Eno Meets Ono In Expo
By Tony Mallett
Bob Dylan's paintings have been in the news lately, but Mr Zimmerman is not the only musical icon to dabble in the non-musical arts. This exhibition, which runs until 14 September in Brussels, brings together for the very first time visual works by various musicians from the 1970s to the present day.
During the expo, dubbed 'It's not only Rock 'n' Roll, Bay!', works by the likes of Pattie Smith, Pete Doherty, Brian Eno, David Byrne, Yoko Ono and more demonstrate what around 20 musical icons get up to creatively in their 'spare' time. This is Bozar at its most cutting edge and it's all done in conjunction with the famous Rock Werchter Festival.

Also included, in this fascinating look at how the voice of rock has merged with the visual arts, are dozens of videos to watch and hear, ranging from a Damien Hirst/Blur collaboration through to Derek Jarman's work with The Smiths and Throbbing Gristle.
All in all, it's a must-see exhibition for rock fans who fancy a walk on the art side.
